It’s been over a quarter of a century now, that Scooter’s has been that reliable Lake Bluff hot dog stand icon. Standing proudly at the corner of Rockland and Waukegan Roads, folks in the area have been able to rely on Scooter’s to provide great food and a kind word for all. Jerry Garbis has owned and operated the stand for the past 15 years, coming off some great family hot dog stand training. Jerry’s dad owns D’s Dog Hut in Westchester and his mom owns Luke’s in Wauconda. So, it’s no surprise that Jerry has integrated his passion and knowledge of and for the business to help perpetuate this great place in the northern burbs.

Their regulars keep coming back for those Vienna Beef hot dogs, as well as Scooter’s burgers, Italian Beef and gyros; all served with those great Chicago style fresh cut fries. Jerry has a constant growth of new customers joining those recognizable regulars. Now, it’s Vienna’s turn to acknowledge and say thanks to Jerry and welcome Scooter’s Hot Dogs into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame.
